Do you know if there is any legal action that can be taken against the City for using tax dollars for political propaganda? The letter was carefully worded but we can read between the lines. It's one thing if the mayor is informing the public of the work his office is doing, but it is another to use tax dollars for political campaigning. He should be using his own campaign money if he wants to advocate against the recall.
After seeing mine, I began hand writing responses to most of it. Most of my comments were something along the lines of "Really...with my Tax statement?" There has got to be something that can be done about this law breaking ass! I have had enough of his antics and his holier than thou attitude...I agree with the above...Can legal action be taken?

Like you, we believe that the intent of this letter is to serve as a thinly veiled piece of pro-Mack propaganda in response to the recall effort.
Most likely, he has skirted the edge of the legality with this and there is nothing that can be done to prohibit it or punish him.
However, we have yet to speak with anyone who didn't see through this foolishness.
